The Supreme Courts True Power

The Supreme Court is one of most powerful entities on the planet having the ability to check the other branches of the government even though they originally came from humble beginning with little power but through the first Head Justice John Jay brought the supreme court to prevalence in the US government.

The Nine Justices of the Supreme Court interpret the US Constitution and have the ability to act on the constitution having the final say on if a law is constitutional or not and if the law is deemed unconstitutional they can just strike it down with a majority vote.

The Supreme Court hears around 80 cases a year with the final say on the decision but not just any case can be heard by the Supreme Court they have the ability to pick which cases they hear.
