In our mock trial we determined the case of the State of North Carolina vs John Mann on his assault of Lydia jones
Each team of lawyers sent up 4 members to make a case for their side of the argument John Manns team made the case that Lydia jones is the property of John Mann and that he has a right to punish his property
The State made a case that Lydia was not owned by John Mann but was only rented out to him with a large moral emphasis on how he treated Lydia jones.
both sides of the argument made a strong case but the court ended up ruling with John Mann because court is not based on fairness it is based on law.
